This is a complete T shaped glass partition kit measuring 7765mm wide across the front with a 3635mm divider running back from it. It costs from £3,706.25 including VAT and includes the toughened glass, two frameless glass doors, all the aluminium channel, gaskets, joins and door ironmongery. Nothing else is needed except fixings into your own floor and ceiling.

The kit contains 6 glass panels in the front run and 4 in the divider, plus two 900mm doors and two 250mm infill panels, giving roughly 23.4 square metres of glass at the shortest height. Choose your ceiling height from 2050mm to 2600mm and the price adjusts. Delivery is nationwide, in as little as seven working days.

A wide glazed frontage at 7765mm with a shorter 3635mm return behind it. The proportions suit a reception or breakout area where you want a long glass wall and only a modest divider to break up what sits behind.

£3,706.25 including VAT at 2050mm, rising to £4,314.57 at 2600mm. Black handles and hinges add £98.81. There is nothing else to add except the £100 plus VAT delivery, which is per order rather than per partition.

For comparison, a supply and fit quote for a partition this size normally runs to several times the kit price once labour, site time and contract preliminaries are included. Buying the kit and fitting it yourself is the cheaper route if you have the people.

How long does it take?

Mainland UK delivery in as little as seven working days, because the glass is made to your height rather than pulled off a shelf. Delivery is £100 plus VAT per order, not per partition.

Can the divider be moved?

Yes. Nothing about the divider position is fixed until you fit it. Slide it along the front run to wherever the rooms need to be, keeping it off the dry joins between panels and 150mm clear of any door leaf.

What arrives

Everything, in one delivery. The glass comes as 10 panels and two door leaves, each one cut to size before it leaves us. With it comes the aluminium: 30mm U channel for the ceiling and 30mm two part channel for floor and walls, plus gaskets, the 180 degree dry joins between panels, and the abutment join that fixes the divider to the back of the front run.

Ironmongery is hydraulic floor pivots, top patches and 800mm H handles, two sets of each, with 250mm infill panels either side of the door openings.

Finishes available

All four channel colours cost the same, so choose on looks rather than budget. Silver and anthracite are most common in offices, black in retail and hospitality. Door ironmongery is satin stainless or black, black adding £98.81 for the two doors.

Handling and fitting

This is a large kit. 10 panels plus two door leaves is more glass than two people will comfortably move in a day, so plan for three or four on site and think about access before delivery. Panels of this height are awkward through a standard doorway and worse up a stairwell.

The glass arrives at its finished size, so there is no cutting or drilling of glass on site. The aluminium channel comes in 3m lengths and is cut to suit as you fit it, and the kit includes a drawing showing where every panel goes.

Acoustics

Glass partitions reduce noise, they do not stop it, and a frameless door leaves a gap around the leaf. For real separation between the two rooms, a framed door with 12.8mm acoustic laminate is the specification. The calculator prices that configuration.
