Aluminium-framed door systems for glass partitions where a defined doorway, improved sealing or acoustic performance is required. Configure the partition, door and frame to suit your opening and order the complete system online.
The frameless toughened glass door leaf closes against an aluminium door frame, with the partition glass locating into channels within the frame. Framed doors open one way and normally stop at 90 degrees, unlike frameless doors which can swing both ways. Special hinges are available if the door needs to open back further.
Available with single or double glass doors. Maximum standard door width is 950mm. Double doors have a 5mm centre gap, so they provide less acoustic separation than a single framed door.
The partition can use 10mm or 12mm toughened glass, or 12.8mm acoustic laminated glass. The door leaf itself is toughened glass for strength and a clean exposed edge.

Door frames can be supplied full height or with a glass panel above the door. For openings above approximately 2300mm, an overhead transom panel is often recommended to reduce the size and weight of the door assembly.
Framed doors can be supplied with free-swinging hinges or hydraulic side-mounted hinges. Lever-latch framed doors are also available, although these usually add around 3 working days because the frame must be milled for the strike plate.
Specialist acoustic doors can also be supplied for projects requiring higher acoustic performance, but these have significantly longer lead times and higher cost.
