How the banding works

An industrial glass partition is built from full height toughened glass panels. Aluminium flat bars are then applied to the face of the glass with the tape supplied, on both sides, to create the banded effect.

Vertical bars sit over the joins between panels. Horizontal bars run across the glass, and because the bars are cut to length as they are fitted, the horizontal positions are set on site. The drawing supplied with your order shows them evenly spaced.

The system is aluminium and glass, not fabricated steel, so the partition is lighter to handle, is configurable on site, and costs considerably less.

Choosing your door

Framed door

The frame goes around the opening rather than around the door itself, so the bars run horizontally across the leaf and not down its edges. The door shuts onto a rebate in the frame, which makes it better for sound reduction.

Frameless door

A frameless door makes the door leaf itself look framed. A flat bar runs around the face of the leaf, an angled bar wraps the edge behind it, and the panels either side take a matching bar.

The doorway reads as framed from both sides, even though there is no frame in it.
