A generous 6860mm frontage with a 5445mm divider. Eleven glass panels in total. Choose from twelve ceiling heights, from £3,895.81 inc VAT.
This is a complete T shaped glass partition kit measuring 6860mm wide across the front with a 5445mm divider running back from it. It costs from £3,895.81 including VAT and includes the toughened glass, two frameless glass doors, all the aluminium channel, gaskets, joins and door ironmongery. Nothing else is needed except fixings into your own floor and ceiling.
The kit contains 5 glass panels in the front run and 6 in the divider, plus two 900mm doors and two 250mm infill panels, giving roughly 25.2 square metres of glass at the shortest height. Choose your ceiling height from 2050mm to 2600mm and the price adjusts. Delivery is nationwide, in as little as seven working days.
A T shaped glass partition wall, 6860mm across the front with a 5445mm divider. Two full height frameless doors sit in the front run. It is the middle of the range and the size most offices arrive at once they have measured properly.
£3,895.81 including VAT at 2050mm, rising to £4,552.42 at 2600mm. Black handles and hinges add £98.81. There is nothing else to add except the £100 plus VAT delivery, which is per order rather than per partition.
For comparison, a supply and fit quote for a partition this size normally runs to several times the kit price once labour, site time and contract preliminaries are included. Buying the kit and fitting it yourself is the cheaper route if you have the people.
All four channel colours cost the same, so choose on looks rather than budget. Silver and anthracite are most common in offices, black in retail and hospitality. Door ironmongery is satin stainless or black, black adding £98.81 for the two doors.
11 panels and two doors is a comfortable day for two people who have fitted glass before, or a long day for two who have not. The glass is made to size, so the work is setting out, cutting and fixing the channel, then glazing. Channel is supplied in 3m lengths and cut as you go.
Glass partitions reduce noise, they do not stop it, and a frameless door leaves a gap around the leaf. For real separation between the two rooms, a framed door with 12.8mm acoustic laminate is the specification. The calculator prices that configuration.
Mainland UK delivery in as little as seven working days, because the glass is made to your height rather than pulled off a shelf. Delivery is £100 plus VAT per order, not per partition.
A common assumption is that the divider is centred. It is not. Put it wherever suits the rooms you are making, avoiding the dry joins between panels and keeping 150mm away from any door leaf.
You are not buying a frame and sourcing glass separately. The kit contains the 11 glass panels, both door leaves, all the aluminium channel, the gaskets that go into the channel cleats, every dry join, the abutment join for the divider, and the full set of door ironmongery in your chosen finish.
The only thing you provide is the fixings into your own floor and ceiling, because those depend on what you are fixing into.
Mostly offices, but a good proportion go into showrooms and salons where the point is to divide the space without making it feel smaller. The T shape works well where one long wall is fixed and you need to break up what sits behind it.
2050mm up to 2600mm in 50mm increments. Measure your opening in more than one place and work from the smallest figure, because floors and ceilings are rarely level. Anything taller than 2600mm, or a size in between, goes through the calculator.
Or price any size with the glass partition calculator, which covers straight, corner and T shaped layouts and gives you a scale drawing, a full materials list and the channel cut lengths before you order.
