This is a complete T-shaped glass partition kit measuring 6870mm wide across the front with a 2740mm divider running back from it. It costs from £2,684.66 excluding VAT and includes the toughened glass, two frameless glass doors, all the aluminium channel, gaskets, joins and door ironmongery. The complete partition components are supplied. Suitable fixings for the existing floor and ceiling structure are required separately.

The kit contains 5 glass panels in the front run and 3 in the divider, plus two 900mm doors and two 250mm infill panels, giving roughly 19.7 square metres of glass at the shortest height. Getting the height right

Finishes available

All four channel colours cost the same, so select the finish to suit the interior scheme. Silver and anthracite are most common in offices, black in retail and hospitality. Door ironmongery is satin stainless or black, black adding £82.34 for the two doors.

Fitting it

The glass is made to size, so the work is setting out, cutting and fixing the channel, then glazing. Channel is supplied in 3m lengths and cut as you go.

Acoustics

Glass partitions reduce noise, they do not stop it, and a frameless door leaves a gap around the leaf. For higher acoustic performance, a framed door with 12.8mm acoustic laminate is the specification. The calculator prices that configuration.

Where does the divider go?

The divider position can be selected during installation and does not need to be central. It must not coincide with a dry join between panels and must maintain at least 150mm clearance from either door.
