This is a complete T-shaped glass partition kit measuring 5965mm wide across the front with a 4550mm divider running back from it. It costs from £2,890.59 excluding VAT and includes the toughened glass, two frameless glass doors, all the aluminium channel, gaskets, joins and door ironmongery. The complete partition components are supplied. Suitable fixings for the existing floor and ceiling structure are required separately.

The kit contains 4 glass panels in the front run and 5 in the divider, plus two 900mm doors and two 250mm infill panels, giving roughly 21.5 square metres of glass at the shortest height. Does the divider have to be central?

No. A central divider is not required. The divider position is set during installation, allowing unequal room sizes where required. The only constraints are that it cannot sit on a dry join between panels and it needs 150mm of clearance from a door.

Suitable applications

This configuration is suitable for offices, showrooms and salons where the space needs to be divided while retaining light and visual openness. The T-shaped layout creates two areas behind a continuous glazed front.

Ceiling height

Twelve sizes between 2050mm and 2600mm. Above 2600mm the glass has to move to 12mm, which changes the price significantly, so taller openings are priced through the calculator rather than here.

Finishes available

All four channel colours cost the same, so select the finish to suit the interior scheme. Silver and anthracite are most common in offices, black in retail and hospitality. Door ironmongery is satin stainless or black, black adding £82.34 for the two doors.

Fitting it

The glass is made to size, so the work is setting out, cutting and fixing the channel, then glazing. Channel is supplied in 3m lengths and cut as you go.

Acoustics

Glass partitions reduce noise, they do not stop it, and a frameless door leaves a gap around the leaf. For higher acoustic performance, a framed door with 12.8mm acoustic laminate is the specification. The calculator prices that configuration.
