This is a complete T shaped glass partition kit measuring 6860mm wide across the front with a 2730mm divider running back from it. It costs from £3,221.59 including VAT and includes the toughened glass, two frameless glass doors, all the aluminium channel, gaskets, joins and door ironmongery. Nothing else is needed except fixings into your own floor and ceiling.

The kit contains 5 glass panels in the front run and 3 in the divider, plus two 900mm doors and two 250mm infill panels, giving roughly 19.7 square metres of glass at the shortest height. Choose your ceiling height from 2050mm to 2600mm and the price adjusts. Delivery is nationwide, in as little as seven working days.

Getting the height right

The dropdown covers 2050mm to 2600mm. Take your measurement at both ends of the run and in the middle, then use the smallest. If none of the twelve matches, the calculator prices your exact size and gives you a scale drawing with it.

Finishes available

All four channel colours cost the same, so choose on looks rather than budget. Silver and anthracite are most common in offices, black in retail and hospitality. Door ironmongery is satin stainless or black, black adding £98.81 for the two doors.

Fitting it

8 panels and two doors is a comfortable day for two people who have fitted glass before, or a long day for two who have not. The glass is made to size, so the work is setting out, cutting and fixing the channel, then glazing. Channel is supplied in 3m lengths and cut as you go.

Acoustics

Glass partitions reduce noise, they do not stop it, and a frameless door leaves a gap around the leaf. For real separation between the two rooms, a framed door with 12.8mm acoustic laminate is the specification. The calculator prices that configuration.

Where does the divider go?

Anywhere along the front run you like. It is not fixed to the centre and does not have to split the space evenly. Two rules: it must not land on a dry join between two panels, and it needs at least 150mm of clearance from a door. You decide the position on site.
