Glass partition walls have become a popular design element in modern architecture. They provide an open and airy feel to any space while also offering functionality and privacy. In this article, we will discuss an industrial style glass partition wall that we recently fitted in London.
The glass partition wall that we installed measured 2480/2390mm (h) x 3100mm (w) x 2050mm (d). It featured a single frameless glass door in the 3100 side and flat bars for a Crittal style on the 2050mm side only. None of the flat bars were installed on the door side, which allowed for a seamless transition between the two spaces.
To complete the industrial look of the partition wall, we used black channel glass partition materials. We installed 4 pieces of 30mm U channel on the ceiling and walls and 2 pieces of 30mm clip-in channel on the floor. These channels were all finished in black to create a cohesive look.
To ensure that the glass was securely in place, we used 36 meters of gasket to seal the edges of the glass panels. We also used 4 pieces of 180-degree dry joins and 1 piece of 90-degree dry joins to connect the glass panels together. This ensured that the glass partition wall was stable and secure.
In addition to the glass panels, we also installed a door hardware kit that included hydraulic hinges and a cranked handle. These were also finished in black to match the rest of the partition wall.
To complete the design, we installed 10 pieces of flat bar on the 2100mm side and used a roll of tape to ensure that the installation was seamless and secure.
Overall, the industrial style glass partition wall that we fitted in London was a great addition to the space. It provided an open and airy feel while also creating privacy and functionality. The use of black channel glass partition materials added an industrial edge to the design, which complemented the existing decor of the space.
