This is a complete T-shaped glass partition kit measuring 5060mm wide across the front with a 5455mm divider running back from it. It costs from £2,882.62 excluding VAT and includes the toughened glass, two frameless glass doors, all the aluminium channel, gaskets, joins and door ironmongery. The complete partition components are supplied. Suitable fixings for the existing floor and ceiling structure are required separately.

The kit contains 3 glass panels in the front run and 6 in the divider, plus two 900mm doors and two 250mm infill panels, giving roughly 21.5 square metres of glass at the shortest height. About this size

Deeper than it is wide. The 5060mm front run carries both doors and the divider runs 5455mm back from it, far enough to make two genuinely separate rooms rather than two alcoves. Suits a long narrow floorplate where you are working with the depth you have rather than the width.

How much does this glass partition cost?

Between £2,882.62 and £3,431.64 excluding VAT, depending on the ceiling height you choose and whether you want black ironmongery. At the most common height of 2400mm it is £3,179.60 with satin stainless handles.

Ceiling height

Twelve sizes between 2050mm and 2600mm. Above 2600mm the glass has to move to 12mm, which changes the price significantly, so taller openings are priced through the calculator rather than here.

Colours

Channel in silver RAL 9006, white RAL 9010, black RAL 9005 or anthracite RAL 7016, all the same price. Handles and hinges are satin stainless as standard, black for £82.34.

Fitting it

The glass is made to size, so the work is setting out, cutting and fixing the channel, then glazing. Channel is supplied in 3m lengths and cut as you go.

How much sound does it stop?

The frameless system provides moderate speech privacy but is not intended for confidential rooms. Frameless doors have a small physical gap around the leaf by design, so they are not an acoustic solution. Where sound matters more than the frameless look, specify a framed door and 12.8mm acoustic laminate, which you can price in the calculator.

Positioning the divider

A common assumption is that the divider is centred. It is not. Position it to suit the required room layout, avoiding the dry joins between panels and keeping 150mm away from any door leaf.
