Glass Partitions for Estate Agents, Mortgage Advisers and Small Offices

Estate agents, mortgage advisers, financial advisers and other client-facing businesses often need a private meeting room without giving up too much of a small office.

A made-to-measure glass partition can divide an existing office into a reception or working area and a separate consultation room, while keeping the overall layout visually connected.

The main decisions are practical ones: where the room should sit, where the door needs to open, how much floor space is available and whether a straight partition or corner layout works best.

See our full guide to office glass partitions, or use the calculator to configure a made-to-measure partition and see the price online.

Creating a Private Client Meeting Room

For estate agents, mortgage advisers and similar businesses, one of the most common requirements is a small room for client meetings, document discussions or phone calls.

A straight partition across part of an existing office is often the simplest option. A door can be positioned to the side or centred within the run, depending on the available space and how staff and clients need to move through the office.

If the meeting room sits in a corner, or needs to be formed away from an existing wall, the partition can also be configured as a corner or T-shaped layout.

The calculator works out the individual glass panel sizes, joins, channels and other system components from the finished opening dimensions. You do not need to calculate the panel sizes yourself.

Frameless or Framed Door?

A frameless glass door gives the lightest visual appearance and is often suitable where the aim is to create a separate room without making a small office feel heavily divided.

A framed glass door closes onto a rebate and opens in one direction. It is worth considering where a more enclosed doorway is preferable, particularly in consultation rooms where conversations are more sensitive. A frameless door has gaps around the leaf, so it should not be treated as an acoustic door.

Making the Best Use of Limited Floor Space

In a small office, the position of the partition can matter more than the overall size of the job. Before measuring, check the proposed door swing, desks, filing, waiting areas and any ceiling obstructions so the finished room remains practical to use.

If a full enclosed room is not required, a shorter divider or single straight run may be enough to separate a client area from the main workspace.

Made to Measure Rather Than Cut on Site

The glass is supplied to its finished size, cut and toughened before dispatch. It cannot be trimmed or drilled on site afterwards.

Measure the finished opening after the floor, plastering and finished wall surfaces are complete. Enter the tight finished dimensions into the calculator and do not make your own deductions for channels, doors or joins. The calculator handles those allowances for you.

Ordering a Small Office Partition

You can configure the partition online by entering the opening dimensions and choosing the layout, glass, door and finishes. The calculator then shows the exact price, panel sizes, materials and layout before you add the system to your basket.

Configure your glass partition and see the price.

If you already have a suitable glass supplier, glass partition kits without glass are also available.
