What Changes the Price?

The finished width and height provide the starting point because they determine how much glass and channel the partition needs. Taller partitions may also require thicker glass, which increases both the material cost and the weight of the panels.

The shape of the partition matters as well. A straight wall is the simplest layout, while corners and T-shaped dividers require extra channels, joins and glass panels. This is why two partitions with a similar overall area can have different prices.

Door choice often creates the largest difference. A fixed wall has no door hardware, a standard frameless door is usually the least expensive door option, and a framed door adds an aluminium frame and different ironmongery. Double doors and additional doors increase the total further.

Glass and hardware choices also affect the price. Options such as thicker glass, sandblasted frosting, industrial-style applied bars, locks, handles and closing hardware are priced as part of the configuration. The four standard channel colours, silver, black, white and anthracite, are all the same price.

1

Complete kit with glass

Enter the finished opening measurements. The calculator works out the panels and components, shows the accurate price and lets you buy online.

2

Buy the channel, gaskets, joins and door hardware while arranging the glass locally. This route has its own products and pricing.

Professional installation

Our installation team covers projects across the UK. If you would rather have the partition supplied and fitted, see our glass partition installation service and contact us for an estimate.

Door choice matters

Why Does a Framed Door Cost More?

A frameless glass door uses patch fittings and has clearances around the leaf. A framed door closes into an aluminium frame and can take a lever latch and strike plate. The extra frame and ironmongery increase the price, but the rebate provides a more enclosed closing line.

The upgrade from a standard frameless door is £571.50 for a single framed-door option or £664.61 for a double framed-door option. Select the door in the calculator to see the total for the actual opening.

How to Get the Accurate Price

Measure the completed opening after the flooring and plastering are finished. Enter the smallest wall-to-wall width and finished-floor-to-ceiling height.

Step 1

Finish and measure the opening

Measure the width and height in three places and use the smallest finished dimension.

Step 2

Choose the layout and door

Select a straight, corner or T-shaped arrangement, then choose the glass, channel colour and door configuration.

Step 3

Review the price and buy

The calculator works out the glass panels, component quantities, layout drawing and channel cut lengths before the system is added to the basket.

Enter the finished opening measurements without making any deductions.

The calculator makes the necessary system allowances. If the layout is unusual, send a sketch and finished dimensions to sales@nationalglasspartitions.co.uk.

Glass Partition or Stud Wall?

A frameless glass partition can often work out cheaper than a completed stud wall once the timber or metal framing, boards, insulation, plastering, decorating, doors and any internal glazing are all included. Glass also retains daylight and avoids several finishing stages.

A stud wall may still be more suitable where concealed services, complete visual privacy, fire performance or stronger acoustic separation is the priority. These NGP systems are not fire rated, so the right comparison depends on what the finished room needs to achieve.

Configure a complete made-to-measure partition with glass, channel and the selected door hardware. Complete glass orders are normally delivered to UK mainland addresses in seven working days; the delivery date is confirmed for every order.

The cost depends on the size of the finished opening, the layout and whether you require a door. For example, a 3 metre fixed glass wall is £789.90, while a 4 metre partition with a standard frameless glass door is £1,366.33. Both examples are 2400mm high and use 10mm toughened glass. Enter your finished opening measurements in our calculator to see the accurate price for your partition.
A straight glass partition measuring 4000mm wide by 2400mm high, with 10mm toughened glass and a standard frameless glass door, costs £1,366.33. UK-mainland delivery for an order containing glass is £100 and is charged once per order. Different heights, layouts, glass finishes and door options will change the price.

A complete kit includes the made-to-measure toughened glass, aluminium channels, gaskets, dry joins and the appropriate standard door ironmongery when a door is selected. The four standard channel colours, silver, black, white and anthracite, are all the same price. Structural fixings, installation, manifestation markings and frosting film are not included. An installation service is available separately if required.
Yes. UK-mainland delivery for an order containing glass is £100 per order, rather than per partition. Remote-area surcharges may apply. Complete made-to-measure glass orders are normally delivered in seven working days, although this is not guaranteed. The delivery date is confirmed for each order.
A standard frameless glass door is normally the lower-cost option. A framed door requires an aluminium frame and different ironmongery, but it closes into a rebate and can be supplied with a lever latch and strike plate. Compared with a standard frameless door, the framed-door upgrade is £571.50 for a single door or £664.61 for double doors.
Yes. If you already have a suitable glass supplier, you can buy a glass partitioning kit without glass. The kit includes the relevant channels, gaskets, dry joins and selected door hardware, while you arrange the glass separately. Compare the price with a complete made-to-measure kit because sourcing the glass separately will not always make the overall project cheaper.
