How to Buy a Glass Partition Online

A made-to-measure glass partition does not have to start with an enquiry. Measure the finished opening, choose the layout and door options, see the exact price and order the system online.

The calculator works out the individual glass panel sizes, channels, joins and selected door components from the dimensions you enter.

What You Need Before You Order

Finished Opening Dimensions

Measure after the finished floor, plastering and finished wall surfaces are complete. Enter the tight dimensions and do not make your own deductions.

The Layout

Choose a straight partition, corner layout or T-shaped partition depending on the space you need to divide.

Door Requirements

Decide whether the partition needs a door, whether it should be frameless or framed and where it needs to sit within the run.

Finish and Glass

Choose the partition style, channel colour and available glass specification for the height and door combination selected.

What the Calculator Works Out

You do not need to divide the opening into individual glass panels yourself.

From the finished dimensions and options selected, the calculator works out the panel sizes, joins, channel quantities and selected door components. It also produces a layout drawing and channel cut lengths.

Standard individual panel width in the calculator is up to 1100mm, so wider openings are divided into additional panels automatically.

What Can Be Supplied?

A complete made-to-measure system can include the toughened glass panels, aluminium channels, gaskets, dry joins, door glass and selected door ironmongery.

The aluminium channels arrive in 3 metre lengths and are cut to suit on site. The glass is different: it arrives at its finished size and cannot be cut or drilled after toughening.

Building fixings are not supplied. The correct screws and fixings depend on the floor, walls and ceiling you are fixing into.

Frameless or Industrial Style

Frameless glass partitions use aluminium channel around the perimeter and clear dry joins between the fixed glass panels.

Industrial-style partitions use the same underlying partition system with aluminium bars added across the glass to create the framed-grid appearance.

Both styles can be configured online.

Complete System or Hardware Without Glass?

If you want the complete partition supplied together, include the glass in the calculator configuration.

If you already have a suitable glass supplier, you can instead order a partition kit without glass and source the made-to-measure panels separately.

Kits without glass are available for next-working-day delivery when ordered before 12pm. Complete systems with glass can be delivered in as little as 7 working days, depending on specification.

When to Check the Layout Before Ordering

Standard straight, corner and T-shaped layouts can normally be configured through the calculator.

If the opening is significantly uneven, you need an unusual door or divider position, or the partition has to work around services or other site constraints, contact us before the glass is manufactured.
